In September, the European Union’s trade balance recorded a surplus of 7.3 billion euros against the 4.8 billion of the previous month and the consensus estimates of 6.5 billion.
The data, released by the European Union Statistical Institute (Eurostat), indicates that exports amounted to 209.3 billion euros, up 10% on a year, while imports in the same period rose by 21.6% to 202 billion euros.
