Eurozone: inflation dropped to 1.9% in June (preliminary), as expected

The inflation rate in the Eurozone stood at 1.9% in June, showing a slight decline compared to 2% in May. This is the preliminary estimate of Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union. The slight decline, due to the lower positive comparison effect for energy prices, was expected by the market.
