A name unknown to most stands out this year at the top of the Italian companies that have patented the most, beating GD, Pirelli and Chiesi. This is Fameccanica, founded in 1975, and since 1992 an equal joint venture between Angelini Industries and P&G, which just a week ago, the group based in Rome took over 100% by acquiring the remaining 50% stake from Procter & Gamble.
