European stock exchanges open the session with a strong rise after the Federal Reserve’s decision to raise interest rates by 50 basis points, with US central bank chairman Jerome Powell ruling out a 75 point hike, a choice feared by the market. After the closing in strong progress of Wall Street, in Piazza Affari the Ftse Mib jumped by 2.15% to 24,414 points. London rose by 1.57%, Frankfurt by 2.29% and Paris by 2.35%.
