TX Logistics AG expands its services rail freight transport intermodal between Germany and Italy. The German company, part of the Logistics Center of the FS Group led by Mercitalia Logistics, has launched a new connection from the CTL terminal in Lübeck to the Quadrante Europa terminal in Verona with two return trips per week. Connections depart from Lübeck on Tuesdays and Saturdays and from Verona on Saturdays and Thursdays and take approximately 24 hours to cover the approximately 1,240 kilometer route via Munich, Kufstein and Brenner.
Return connections increased from four to six between the BRG terminal in Lübeck and Terminali Italia Milano Segrate, in the metropolitan area of Milan. An increase dictated by the high demand recorded on the route. In addition to the departures scheduled on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from Lübeck and Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from Segrate, TX Logistik has added departures on Monday and Thursday from Lübeck and Wednesday and Saturday from Segrate to the timetable.
TX Logistik is responsible for traction on the two routes, using its own drivers and modern multi-system locomotives. Thanks to the use of trailers, semi-trailers, loaded through the Nikrasa system, an innovative technological solution for placing semi-trailers on rails that cannot be lifted by a crane, containers and tank containers, each train can transport up to 32 load units.
