Among some of these, the dynamics and the relative rashes certainly have deep roots. But the new figures introduced with the renewal of the board could undoubtedly favor the resumption of dialogue. The number one, Sironi, in the few words he spent to inaugurate the new course, stressed that “a very delicate phase” has ended and now it is necessary that everyone devote himself “to the common goal of Generali’s interest” and to be willing , for this reason, to “do everything possible to best represent all the stakeholders”.
The position of Caltagirone
Taking up, voluntarily or not, what was also the wish of Caltagirone. The entrepreneur, commenting on the vote, which recorded the clear prevalence of the board list over the alternative one presented by him, wanted to specify: “I am convinced that part of the result will still be achieved because a board of directors elected by 55% of the votes it will not be able to ignore the other 45% ». He then added that as long as he deems it reasonable, he will continue “to work to make the change happen.”
If the assembly has therefore sanctioned the end of the battle by decreeing the winners, thanks to the support of Mediobanca, De Agostini, of foreign funds and of employees and agents, it is to be understood whether the new Leo council will be able to balance still conflicting strategic visions.
