Germany wants to become more independent from China

And is Malaysia attractive as a location?
First of all, there are three things that make us attractive: European and German companies want clean energy – and Malaysia has a lot of it. We even export renewable energy. Then we still have plenty of land, so it’s cheaper in comparison. And don’t forget our talents. We have also concluded 14 free trade agreements, we are a very open economy. These include the major partnerships RCEP between Asean members and China, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand and CPTPP with Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Brunei, Japan, Singapore and Vietnam. We have just told the Chancellor that we would like to resume negotiations with the EU on a free trade agreement.
