GNV, Grandi Navi Veloci (MSC Group) launches a recruiting campaign aimed at hiring around 500 new resources, in view of the next summer season. To this end, the shipping company has planned a series of open days dedicated to meeting and selecting new candidates: the first appointment will be held in Torre del Greco on 24 and 25 January. Other stops have been scheduled in Potenza, Bari, Catanzaro and Palermo.

The open day program includes the holding of cognitive interviews with the candidates which will allow them to learn more about the company, life on board but also the numerous potential career paths within the Company. Founded in 1992, and today part of the MSC Group, GNV is one of the main shipping companies operating in the cabotage and passenger transport sector in the world: with a fleet of 25 ships, the Company operates 31 lines in 7 countries, to and from Sardinia, Sicily, Spain, France, Albania, Tunisia, Morocco and Malta.

We are looking for different profiles: engine and deck staff

GNV is looking for numerous professionals with different degrees of experience and seniority, including Engine and Deck personnel such as officers, brass workers, workers and refrigeration technicians but also Hotel management personnel such as stewards, office assistants, cooks, pizza chefs, boys and girls of room. We are also looking for candidates who know languages, in particular Arabic, French and Spanish.

Candidates admitted even without navigation booklet

Candidates who wish to present themselves at the open days will be asked to bring with them a copy of their updated CV and, if they have previous experience on board, the navigation booklet and the documentation relating to the SCTW courses. The application will be evaluated even if they do not meet these requirements and, in case of acceptance, the candidates will be financially supported in carrying out the sailing suitability courses and followed throughout the process to obtain the navigation booklet. Once in possession of the necessary documentation, candidates will have the opportunity to participate in on-board training sessions organized in collaboration with the MSC Training Center which will allow them to familiarize themselves with the ship’s environment and the tasks related to the job.
