WASHINGTON. Goldman Sachs Group plans to lay off 4,000 people. This was reported by informed sources on the Semafor website. The cuts would account for 8% of the bank’s workforce.

According to the sources, managers have been given the task of identifying the “lowest performing” employees but a final list has not yet been drawn up.
