IHC invests 45 million to redo 4 hotels

A strategy based on the redevelopment of the entire hotel portfolio – exclusive of the new structures – is the plan of the Italian hospitality collection, the management brand that belongs to the American fund Oaktree. Italian Hospitality Collection brings together three resorts in Tuscany – Fonteverde, Bagni di Pisa, Grotta Giusti Thermal Spa Resort -, Chia Laguna in Sardinia and in Valle d’Aosta, in Courmayeur, Le Massif, opened in winter 2018.

«We are carrying out the restructuring of three out of five hotels – says Marcello Cicalò, operational director of the group -. The works in Fonteverde ended in January, in Grotta Giusti the completion of the works is scheduled for mid-May and the hotel will reopen on June 18, while in Chia Laguna the extensive restyling project will end for the reopening in June “. ‘last is a complex project that concerns all the hotels, the part dedicated to catering and the beaches.

«The total value of the investments, made in this complicated moment, is around 45-50 million euros for the period 2020-2021 – the interviewee continues -. The future sees an ever greater specialization for the individual hotels of the group. At Fonteverde the focus will be on wellness with the services already present refined on the fitness and nutrition part with the Equilibrium program. At Le massif the group has invested in the sports part with a lot of “sport concierge”. At Grotta Giusti, the restructuring today sees well-being as the protagonist. The group has invested over ten million euros near Pistoia to renovate the resort and the Spa. Here a 360-degree service deals with wellness through practices such as thermal yoga and focuses on a project dedicated to the quality of sleep.
