Inflation Italy: confirmed at 1.3% in June

by admin

Istat confirms the preliminary estimates of inflation, which in June remained stable at 1.3% on an annual basis (as in the previous month). In June, the national index of consumer prices for the whole community (Nic), before tobacco, according to Istat, recorded an increase of 0.1% on a monthly basis, confirming the preliminary estimate. Istat explains that inflation is still mainly sustained by the prices of regulated and non-regulated energy goods.

However, some signs of a slight recovery are also manifested in other product sectors, with the prices of recreational, cultural and personal care services returning to rise and with those of processed food that mitigate the decline recorded in the previous month. Only the further decline in prices of both transport services (with air transport still falling sharply) and unprocessed food (mainly fresh fruit) contain the effects, confirming the growth in the general consumer price index already recorded in May.
