At 9:00 pm on June 15th, Microsoft completely closed the IE browser, which means that June 15th is the last day of the IE browser in Microsoft. After the IE browser is closed, it will still remain on our computer, so can the retired IE browser still be used?

The IE browser will be permanently closed at 9:00 pm on June 15, 2022. However, in many parts of the world, a large number of enterprises and users still rely on the IE browser to work, so the closing of the IE browser requires a process.
The entire IE shutdown will be divided into two phases, which Microsoft calls “high-quality retirement.”
In the first phase, called the redirect phase, Windows devices will be gradually redirected from IE to Microsoft Edge in the months following June 15, 2022.
At this stage, some computers can still open the IE browser, but most computers open the Edge browser after clicking IE. Edge has built-in IE mode, as long as the website is compatible with IE, you can browse through IE mode in Edge.
The second phase of decommissioning is the WindowsUpdate phase. After the redirection phase is complete, IE will be permanently disabled via a future Windows update, and all Windows devices are within the scope of IE retirement. Given the cumulative nature of Windows updates, the IE disablement will persist across subsequent Windows updates.
Should we uninstall IE completely?
Shouldn’t and can’t. Edge’s IE mode relies on IE 11 to work, uninstalling or removing IE11 will cause IE mode to no longer work, and all we can do is do nothing.
