A new series of CAD illustrations purporting to show the upcoming “iPhone 14” appear to support previous reports that it will retain the design of the iPhone 13 almost entirely. As revealed by MySmartPrice, these renders show that the new model is virtually indistinguishable from the current iPhone 13. For example, there are no noticeable differences up front, and the “iPhone 14” retains the current Face ID notch, as previously claimed.

3D CAD renderings of the back of the phone appear to show a thicker frame around the camera lens, bringing the raised side closer to the edge of the back of the iPhone.
According to the original source of the unnamed renders, the “iPhone 14” will retain the same 6.1-inch display as the current model. A recent rumor about the iPhone 14 suggests that it will carry the same processor from the iPhone 13, while the iPhone 14 Pro will get an upgraded processor.
Given Apple’s history with cases, it’s no surprise that this CAD drawing appeared. If the trend continues, a flat design similar to that used in the iPhone 4 will likely be used for another year or two before being replaced by a new setting.
The illustrations leaked over the past few days appear to be identical to those provided to case makers, and Apple typically shares early data with select partners that would inform leaks of new phones.
Apple’s iPhone 14 lineup is expected to debut in September 2022.
