Lending in the euro area is growing more slowly

Growth was 5.2 percent in March and 5.7 percent in February. Bank lending to private households is also no longer growing as dynamically. In April, financial institutions extended 2.5 percent more loans to households than a year earlier. In March, the increase was still 2.9 percent after 3.2 percent in February.
