Microsoft issues DMCA copyright removal notice to websites hosting Windows 11 leaked ISO images-Windows 11

by admin

As Microsoft began to investigate the sites hosting the leaked ISO images, the authenticity of the “Windows 11” revelations has also been confirmed from the side.Earlier this week, a forum posted a copy of what is said to be the “next-generation Windows” operating system. Although the name “Windows 11” is everywhere in the system, many people at the time still doubted the authenticity of this matter, and even speculated that it might be a smoke bomb, until Microsoft made the move of “There is no silver in this place”.

Windows Central pointed out that Microsoft, which owns the software copyright, has sent a DMCA complaint to the website that “distributes Windows 11 ISO images”, which verifies the authenticity of the name of the “Windows 11” operating system and the leak.

Judging from the information shared on public forums earlier, we can access the ubiquitous “Windows 11” name on WinVer, setting screens, out-of-the-box interfaces, etc., supplemented by a brand-new UI design and some hidden features.

Although we never doubt the authenticity of the “next-generation Windows” operating system, some people still think that this is a smoke bomb from Microsoft. For example, the “Windows 11” logo was deliberately released to divert attention from the real system and naming convention. It was officially announced later this month.

However, judging from the request for withdrawal of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) initiated on June 17th, this kind of unfounded speculation can indeed be stopped (via Lumen | Fossbytes):

The Beebom.com article is distributing an ISO image of the Windows 11 operating system whose copyright is owned by Microsoft. Please remove the relevant article from the search results because it is a leaked copy of the Windows 11 operating system that has not yet been released.

It is not clear whether other sites that directly distribute Windows 11 leaked ISOs have also received DMCA infringement removal notices, but as long as Microsoft is cruel, more things may still happen.

However, the most important point of this move is that this ISO image is not leaked out intentionally by Microsoft itself, or the name of the new generation operating system is not called “Windows 11”.

Of course, as many people have pointed out, the ISO image leaked this time is only an early version of “Windows 11” in May 2021, rather than a full version of the operating system that will be released as a free update later in October.

It is reported that Microsoft’s next-generation operating system has implemented a large number of revisions based on the user interface (UI) on the basis of the current Windows 10.

Including the new “Start” menu, animation, improved touch interaction, refresh icon appearance, the introduction of new system sounds, out of the box (OOBE) experience, Ink workspace, and more Windows Snap options and widget panels.

Interested friends can pay attention to Microsoft’s upcoming official announcement next Thursday (June 2 local time). In addition, it is expected that there will be a series of news for developers, such as new economic opportunities and structural updates.
