For Ivass, in the month of January 2024, the average price ofr.c. auto is equal to 389.10 euros, increasing in nominal terms by +7.5% on an annual basis.
Based on this, Massimiliano Dona, president of the National Consumers Union, draws up the price increases ranking which sees Alessandria, Lecco, Vercelli and Biella in 1st place.
“In some cities, then, the rise is even stratospheric and we ask ourselves what it depends on. We would not want there to be restrictions on competition or, worse yet, colluded agreements in those cities. This is why we ask the Antitrust to ascertain the reasons for these anomalous increases” concludes Dona. At the top of the cities with the greatest increase, with a jump of 10%, are Alessandria, Lecco, Vercelli and Biella, all with a 10% variation compared to the average price of January 2023. Silver medal for Milan with +9, 9%, while in third position Rome, Barletta, Belluno and Novara with +9.8%.
