A procession to say no to the General States of Birth. The students and members of the Arachne network attempted to violate the red zone where the meetings on birth rates are taking place. About 300 kids, almost all minors, marched behind a large banner.

The demonstration

The demonstration was authorized, but it should have ended in Piazza Cavour, the students instead diverted to try to reach the Auditorium Parco della Musica where the event dedicated to Christmas is taking place. The students tried to force the protection cordon of the police who reacted with a lightening charge.

Valditara program burned

During the demonstration, Minister Valditaraā€™s ā€œrelationship educationā€ program was burned, there were moments of tension when the procession deviated and is now still trying to force the police cordon. ā€œWe cry out for all the women who no longer have a voiceā€, so the boys chant. The initiative is organized and sees the participation of young people who join the Aracne, Zaum, Coordinamento Collettivi Sapienza and high school students.

The injured

During the coincident phases in which demonstrators and the police came into contact, five boys were injured. In particular, one girl suffered a serious head injury. ā€œThe police beat us upā€, shouted a young man at the head of the procession.

New clashes

Another moment of tension occurred near Piazza Cavour where some rioters threw bottles and stones at the police. Two boys were stopped by Digos. Tension remains high also because the demonstrators have declared they want to reach the States General area. The Police Headquarters has strengthened the number of officers to protect the mini red zone forbidden to demonstrators.
