On the 12th, the National Development and Reform Commission’s press conference introduced the situation of further deepening the market-oriented reform of coal-fired power generation on-grid tariffs. Peng Shaozong, deputy director of the Price Department of the National Development and Reform Commission and a first-level inspector, pointed out that, overall, the impact of the coal-fired power generation market-oriented reform on the price level is limited.

Peng Shaozong said that the current reform, with special emphasis on maintaining the stability of residential and agricultural electricity prices, has no direct impact on the consumer price index (CPI). If the market transaction electricity price rises, it will push up the electricity cost of enterprises, especially upstream production enterprises, to a certain extent, and have a certain boosting effect on the industrial producer price index (PPI), but the reform measures will help improve the power supply and demand situation and better guarantee The electricity demand of enterprises promotes stable production of enterprises and increases market supply, which is generally conducive to price stability. On the whole, the impact of this reform on price levels is limited.
