Nissan raises the challenge of sustainability and innovation

by admin

Nissan with the new strategic plan Ambition 2030 plans to radically change the approach to sustainable mobility of the future with 23 electrified models, 15 of which are pure electric that have been anticipated by four prototypes, the basis of some of the upcoming models. It is a crossover, the Chill-Out, a rodaste, the Max-Out, a pick-up the Surf-Out and a multispace, the Hang-Out.

The only element that is common to the four concepts is the e-4orce twin-engine powertrain which is the basis of the Ariya premium SUV ready to debut in Europe at the beginning of 2022 and which will become the standard for all new electric models that will be launched within the 2030.

To which is added the combination with solid state batteries that will be integrated into the platform and able to guarantee better performance, but reducing the recharging time by a third and production costs.

On the other hand, there are three newly introduced platforms since the new models will require different schemes and specific technical solutions to obtain maximum efficiency and a level of driving pleasure. Cill-Out is the only concept to exploit the Cmf-Ev base shared with the Renault partner within the Alliance which also includes Mitsubishi. The car is described as an elegant and modern vehicle designed specifically for level 4 autonomous driving with a retractable steering wheel and controls. It should be emphasized that autonomous driving is a recurring theme in Nissan’s strategy that as far back as 2012 speculated to sell vehicles capable of driving alone in 2020. No one has seen them. The other three concepts are based on the Nissan EV Technology Vision which integrates both solid-state battery technology, but also other components such as the e-4orce all-wheel drive brought to its debut by Ariya. In the case of the Max-Out it is a two-seater roadster with an interior that includes a seat that moves towards the center to create a sort of single-seater. The Suf-Out pick-up, on the other hand, allows you to power external equipment with the batteries it has. The passenger compartment is also very bright thanks to the large glass surfaces. Nissan also designed a large smoked roof to cover the cargo area. Finally, the multi-space Hang-Out has a design designed around the passenger compartment to transform itself into a mobile office or a simple living room. The seats are swivel and designed to reduce the vibrations at the root of boring car sickness.

The style is a mix between a crossover and a station wagon with a roof that has a folding and opening cover. From here, in short, Nissan will derive a real offer of multi-purpose models to be able to best meet all the needs of the mobility of the future.
