MILANO – More than four out of ten Italians they failed to save in the last year, crushed by the weight of bills and price increases in general. In 2022, inflation stood at 8.7% (harmonised Ipca index at European level), a record since 1985. Wages have remained stagnant: contractual wages, Istat has just revealed, have grown by only 1. 1%.
