Ok from the Musumeci government to the stabilization of 4,600 precarious Asu

PALERMO – Favorable opinion of the Sicilian regional government, in agreement with the Ars budget commission, for the stabilization of about 4,600 precarious Asu workers for years.

“The stabilization of this human resource, committed in the Municipalities, in the provincial health agencies and in the Chambers of Commerce of the island – comment the councilors for Labor Antonio Scavone, Marco Zambuto local autonomies and the Economy, Gaetano Armao – does not involve increases in spending and restores dignity to thousands of Sicilian families ».

For the president of the Region Nello Musumeci “today’s vote constitutes a further, important step in the process of leaving the precariousness of thousands of workers who have remained a human pledge of the worst policy for too long”.

The precarious Asu have had access to the Sicilian public administrations without competition and their salary is paid by the Region. They were born as a support to employees. Not having a contract, they cannot perform duties because there are no ancillary allowances for them. Often, however, these workers manage essential services.
