Opel is betting on the electrification of its range

Yes, large families often need vehicles that meet a wide range of requirements, such as sufficient space, outstanding design, advanced technologies and an electrified driving experience.

Opel offers a variety of cars suitable for large families that meet these requirements. For example, the Opel Astra Sports Tourer plug-in hybrid is a popular choice for families looking for a car that is both spacious and fuel-efficient. The Opel Combo-e Life minivan is another excellent choice for large families, with its large load capacity and flexible seating options. Finally, the Opel Zafira-e Life is a true “e-lounge on wheels” with enough space for up to nine passengers and state-of-the-art technologies such as touchscreen infotainment system and smartphone connectivity. With its range of cars suitable for large families, Opel offers solutions for families’ transport needs, ensuring a practical, comfortable and sustainable driving experience.

Il bestseller della classe Compact: Opel Astra Sports Tourer plug-in hybrid

Opel Astra catches the eye, both in the five-door sedan version and in the Opel Astra Sports Tourer station wagon variant. It is therefore no coincidence that the latest generation of the bestseller in the Compact class from Rüsselsheim was awarded the “Golden Steering Wheel 2022″” and, as it is also a sporty and elegant station wagon, that it was voted “FAMILY CAR of the Year 2022”. The car combines a pure and bold design, enhanced by the characteristic Opel Vizor on the front, with top-of-the-range technologies, from the adaptive and glare-free Intelli-Lux LED® Pixel Light to the Intelli-Drive assistance system. Furthermore, the latest generation of the Opel Astra Sports Tourer is being offered electrified for the first time. It can be driven with zero local emissions thanks to the plug-in hybrid engine, with a system output of 133 kW/180 HP and a maximum torque of 360 Nm (fuel consumption WLTP: 1.11.0 l/100 km , CO2 emissions equal to 2523 g/km). All this guarantees responsible driving pleasure: thanks to the 12.4 kWh lithium-ion battery, this plug-in hybrid model can travel up to 66 kilometers with zero local emissions in the WLTP cycle (EAER City-equivalent range in full electric – in the WLTP4 cycle: 72-76 km). And for longer journeys during the holidays, with suitcases and sports equipment, this electrified station wagon offers space from 516 to 1,553 liters in the trunk, which can be conveniently loaded via the tailgate which opens and closes automatically with the simple gesture of one foot (optional feature).

For those looking for an even more dynamic drive, there is the top-of-the-line version of the Opel Astra Sports Tourer GSe. The “Grand Sport electric” station wagon offers an excellent output of 165 kW/225 hp (fuel consumption WLTP3: 1.2-1.1 l/100 km, CO2 emissions 26-25 g/km ; both data combined). All the exuberance of the propulsion system is enclosed in a chassis lowered by 10 millimeters with special KONI FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) technology. The new Opel Astra Sports Tourer Electric will hit dealerships later this year, making it the first all-electric station wagon from a German manufacturer.
