After the securitisations of 2020 and 2021, worth € 100 million and € 200 million, a new operation is now ready which will once again involve Azimut, Banca Valsabbina and Opyn, with the entry of Banco Santander. The new € 300 million resources will be disbursed by the Opyn platform through loans to SMEs with a maximum duration of 6 years, with 1 year of pre-amortization and a variable amount from 50,000 to 1,500,000 euros with a guarantee of up to 80% of the Central Fund. of Guarantee for SMEs.

This new securitization aims to help SMEs in the recovery path after the pandemic years and in a difficult international geopolitical context. The operation, in addition to Azimut, Banca Valsabbina and Opyn, sees the entry of a new co-arranger and senior financer, Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (Santander CIB), the global division of Santander that supports corporate and institutional clients.

The operation is part of the “Slancio Italia” project, aimed at supporting the real economy with the securitization model since the year of the pandemic. Thanks to this Opyn Project, it was able to support over 1,000 small and medium-sized businesses in about 18 months through the fintech loan facility.
Companies operating in strategic sectors of the national economy such as manufacturing, wholesale, retail and construction. The average loan ticket was around € 300,000, reaching companies all over Italy.
It is estimated that with this further securitization it will be possible to reach about a thousand new companies looking for financing to support their growth and resilience in a difficult economic environment such as the current one.

The companies that request the loan will be evaluated in 24 hours on the basis of the investigation conducted by Opyn through the use of proprietary artificial intelligence algorithms. The automatic process is then followed by verification by a credit analyst and subsequently the resolution which takes place online, with the disbursement of the loan within a few working days.

The “Slancio Italia” project was launched at the beginning of the pandemic, in March 2020 and is financed by credit funds managed by Opyn and signed by Azimut as part of the strategic agreement between the two companies to convey resources quickly and digitally to SMEs
