The main European stock exchanges ended the day on a positive note, while Wall Street continues to show a favorable trend. On Piazza Affari, the Ftse Mib closed with little change with a modest increase of 0.21%, reaching 34,759 points. The IBEX-35, the reference index of the Madrid Stock Exchange which includes the 35 stocks with the largest capitalisation, stands out as the best in Europe, recording an increase of +1.14%.

A2a, the best on the list, gained 2.3%, followed by STM (+1.5%), and Enel (+1.4%). Among the worst performers were Prysmian (-2.1%), Bper Banca (-2.3%) and Saipem (-2.4%), falling after two sessions of gains.

Poor day of macroeconomic data. Weekly data released by the Energy Information Administration (EIA) on crude oil inventories and production in the US recorded an increase of 3.165 million barrels, compared to an expected decrease of 0.7 million.

On bonds, the BTP-Bund spread remains above 131 basis points, with the yield on the Italian ten-year bond at 3.60% and that of the Bund in the 2.29% area.

Among raw materials, Brent oil lost 0.5% to 85.22 dollars a barrel. On Forex, the euro/dollar exchange rate fell slightly to 1.0820 and the dollar/yen fell slightly to (-0.12%) at 151.374.
