The coupon detachment of many Milanese blue chips weighs on Piazza Affari today, which in any case snatches the plus sign in the wake of the Wall Street rally.
There are no less than 19 stocks in the Ftse Mib that today distributed the dividend with an impact on the index of approximately 1.44%. The generous coupons of Generali Assicurazioni (€ 1.07), Unipol (€ 0.3) and Azimut (€ 1.30) stand out. The list also includes three coupon balances by ENI (€ 0.43), Intesa Sanpaolo (€ 0.079) and Recordati (€ 0.57).
At the end of the day, the Ftse Mib rose by 0.17% to 24,136 points after the area lost more than 1% in the morning due to the coupon effect. In general, today the markets have moved well with Wall Street which has been the driving force in the last hour, scoring increases of up to + 2% with the rise of tech giants such as Apple and above all banks. JP Morgan leads the charge with + 7% on the upside of the 2022 outlook for net interest income.
And also in Milan to make the big voice today are the banks with + 4.23% for Unicredit at 10.36 euros. Banco BPM (+ 4.3%) and Bper (+ 3.06%) also did very well. On the other hand, Intesa lagged behind (-0.39%).
