Repair instead of throwing away and reuse: “Circular economy is an ancient principle”
If we continue to consume raw materials at this rate, things cannot continue like this forever, says Fabian Takacs, project manager at the Circular Lab at the University of St.Gallen. This is where the threads of the circular economy in eastern Switzerland should come together.
Especially around the holidays, there is a huge amount of cardboard that needs to be recycled. It would be better to use less cardboard.

The Circular Lab started its work at the University of St.Gallen last summer. The research center wants to be a platform for the circular economy in the Lake Constance area. Together with six universities and thirty companies around Lake Constance, it is currently working on creating models for a circular economy in the agriculture, food and textile industries. Collaboration is not only important in this project, but also in an actual circular economy, says project manager Fabian Takacs.
