Reviving the Icon: A Restomod of the 1988 Toyota Land Cruiser Inspired by Porsche

At the TLC4x4 workshop in North Carolina, a 1988 Toyota Land Cruiser underwent a notable transformation inspired by the iconic Porsche 911. The modifications, made known for the first time today, include a new body color, air intakes on the fenders, and underbody protection for off-roading. The SUV also features new LED lights, 17-inch Method wheels with BFGoodrich tires, and a luxurious interior with Relicate leather seats and a JVC touch infotainment screen.

Under the hood, the Land Cruiser is powered by a 6.2-liter Chevrolet V8 engine with a 6L80 automatic transmission and stainless steel exhaust system. OME suspension springs and Fox Racing shocks ensure optimal performance, while a stainless steel fuel tank guarantees trouble-free operation in demanding conditions. This restored Land Cruiser blends the ruggedness of an off-roader with the style and performance of a sports car.
