Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco, the 2,000-hectare estate in the Val d’Orcia in Tuscany, a UNESCO heritage site, announced – as a note informs – the official reopening of the resort on 2 June 2021 with the Osteria La Canonica restaurant which presents itself with a completely renovated look and an extension of the property which includes the inauguration of 19 new private suites by the end of the summer.
With the opening of the 19 new suites, Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco will count a total of 42 suites, in addition to the 11 welcoming and exclusive villas obtained from restored Tuscan farmhouses dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries.
The 19 new suites, whose interiors have also been designed by Teresa Bürgisser, interior designer from Castiglion del Bosco, will be located within a new complex, an extension of the Borgo. –
«The philosophy behind the new suites – says Chiara Ferragamo – is the one that has always distinguished Castiglion del Bosco. Warmth, hospitality and comfort blend with elegance and excellence thanks to the unmistakable work and experience of
local artisans and restorers. Our suites and villas reflect these characteristics and i
our guests will always carry with them the indelible memory of how we Italians know how to live in perfect harmony between simplicity, taste and refinement ».
Davide Bertilaccio, Regional Vice President of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts and Managing Director of Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco, says: “We are delighted to reopen the resort in June with the announcement of the expansion of the property”.
The estate with over 800 years of history, founded by Massimo and Chiara Ferragamo, includes the ruins of an ancient castle, a medieval church and the Borgo, a historic village that today represents the heart of the Resort. On the estate there is a Spa, a Brunello di Montalcino winery, and a private 18-hole golf club for members.
