Saipem signs almost one contract a day. This time in Norway. Wintershall Dea Norge has been awarded a contract for the drilling campaign of six wells with the option to drill additional wells in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. Operations will start in the fourth quarter of 2021 and will be performed by the Scarabeo 8, a semi-submersible drilling unit designed to be “zero emissions” and capable of operating in harsh environments.

With this acquisition, the vehicle will work in continuity with commitments already made previously for other customers in a sector where there are signs of recovery and an increase in demand.

In the wake of the operations conducted for the same customer in 2019 with excellent results in terms of safety and operational efficiency, Saipem expresses satisfaction with the award of this new contract by Wintershall Dea Norge, which strengthens the relationship between the parties in a geographic area of ​​great importance.
