Priest (CoC): overcoming the mismatch between supply and demand

“The idea of creating a highly specialized course on mechatronics also in Salerno comes from afar – said Andrea Prete, president of the Chamber of Commerce _ We are convinced of the validity of ITS to act as a concrete bridge between young people and companies to overcome that” mismatch “between job supply and demand, which is decisively affected by the lack of technical-scientific skills”. «Even in Salerno we are now trying to fill a historical gap – that of poor technical culture – which belongs to the whole country and which today sees one profession out of three in many areas, especially that of digitization, without candidates. Investing in training is the only way to resolve this paradox and to allow our young people and our businesses to meet for the benefit of the competitiveness of the area “.
