Sending Remittances to Cuba: How Tocopay is Making it Easier with International Recharge of USD Classic Cards

The international recharge of USD Classic Cards in Cuba is now available through Tocopay, making them the first to offer this service. The Classic USD Cards are a new product from Fincimex, the Cuban company processing family remittances and acting as issuer and acquirer of financial cards. These cards can be purchased at CADECA branches for 4 USD and used to pay at service centers in Cuba.

Using the Tocopay calculator, sending 100 euros to a Classic USD card will result in the beneficiary receiving 107.28 MLC in Cuba. The total cost for the sender will be 111.80 euros, including an 11.80 euro shipping commission. To ensure the beneficiary receives 100 US dollars in Cuba, the sender must deposit 111.54 USD.

To transfer money to Cuba through Tocopay, the sender must have an international card enabled for Secure Internet Payments. The recipient in Cuba must have an AIS, CLASICA or MLC card from specific banks. After meeting these requirements, the sender must register on the website, provide necessary information and documentation, and receive a Pin or security key to send remittances.

Once validated, the sender can choose the shipping type and amount to send, select the beneficiary and confirm the transfer details before making the payment. Tocopay provides updates on the transfer status, including Paid, In deposit process, and Deposited.

With Tocopay, sending money to Cuba from anywhere in the world is now easier and more convenient for both senders and recipients.
