SMIC disclosed monthly data for the first time, and both revenue and net profit rose sharply

According to the company’s 2021 fourth quarter performance bulletin announcement, SMIC is expected to achieve revenue of US$5.443 billion in 2021, a year-on-year increase of 39.32%; net profit attributable to the parent is US$1.702 billion, a year-on-year increase of 137.81%. In 2021, the number of wafers shipped by the company (equivalent to 8 inches) will reach 6.7508 million, a year-on-year increase of 18.46%; ASP is about $806.29 per wafer, a year-on-year increase of 17.60%.
SMIC co-CEO Dr. Zhao Haijun said at the performance briefing that in 2022, the mobile phone and consumer product markets will become a stock market and the supply and demand relationship will gradually reach a balance, and there will be structural production capacity in incremental markets such as the Internet of Things, electric vehicles, and mid-to-high-end analog chips. The gap, the company’s RF, microcontroller, power management and other application platforms are still in strong demand (the 40nm process is the most in short supply).
According to the China Merchants Securities Research Report, the high industry boom in 2021 will drive SMIC’s revenue and profits to record highs. As the largest foundry leader in China, the company’s technological advantages and customer resources are in a leading position in the industry.
