Many Italian newspapers had relaunched in the last few hours the hypothesis of a union between Renault and Stellantis after the latter’s CEO, Carlos Tavaresgave an interview to Bloomberg in which he spoke about how Chinese competition could push M&A Europa. The market seemed uncertain whether to believe it or not and on the morning of February 5th after the opening of trading Stellantis had started to collect sales losing over 1% in Piazza Affari, while in Paris Renault had started to surge earning 3%, and then return to +1%.
