The AM of Asti goes against the trend. Recruitments and more corporate welfare

«We are a young company and we believe in young people, which is why we invest a lot in the training of our employees, to which we offer important growth opportunities “.

Andrea Piccolo, president and member of the board of directors, describes AM, a company from Asti that operates throughout the country, specialized in the maintenance of kitchen equipment and in the maintenance of the buildings of large catering chains. In two words, in equipment and construction.

Almost 70 employees including operational technicians and office staff, a fleet of 35 vans, 4 offices including that of Asti (the others in Milan, in Zero Branco, in Veneto, and in Brescello, in Emilia Romagna), and a fifth, in Rome, in the opening phase. These are the numbers of the company in via Amerigo Vespucci, born in 2008 from a project by Piccolo, then also married by Luca Gorgoglione and Maria Franca Pettazzi, today CEOs, shareholders and members of the Board of Directors.

Among the main customers of AM, large restaurant chains such as Burger King, Roadhouse, Chef Express, Old Wild West, Mc Donald’s and Starbucks: 503 points of sale to which services are offered from the maintenance of technological systems and kitchen equipment to the analysis of electrical networks and sanitation of environments. An activity carried out mainly with know-how and internal resources, which embraces the entire production process of a technological plant, from the feasibility study of a project to its realization.

An “anomalous reality” in the general panorama, explains Piccolo, “Because despite the difficult moment, especially for the restaurant world, we are booming and we have closed the last two years more than discreetly, anticipating the layoffs for our employees, not firing anyone and, on the contrary, hiring staff”.

Personnel that the company has decided to reward, allocating them 52 thousand euros of corporate welfare in addition to the amount already provided for in the national collective agreement.

“There are many conventions envisaged – specifies Piccolo – for which workers will be able to purchase, by accessing a platform, services ranging from sport to wellness, from travel to holidays, from leisure to free time, but also training courses, health services and of support to the family as well as having the ability to convert credit into vouchers for gasoline, shopping, furniture, electronics, art and culture of over 150 national brands “.

A growing company: “We are constantly looking for technical personnel already trained as electricians, plumbers, refrigeration technicians, boiler technicians – says Piccolo – but also for new recruits interested in undertaking a professional training path». —
