The countdown to the 7th Digital China Construction Summit releases positive signals for a digital power_Info Morning News

The 7th Digital China Construction Summit, set to take place in Fuzhou, Fujian Province from May 24th to 25th, is set to release positive signals for the nationā€™s digital transformation. At a press conference held by the State Council Information Office on May 10, key officials outlined the preparations for the summit and the progress made in the construction of Digital China.

According to Liu Liehong, director of the National Data Administration, this yearā€™s summit is the first to be held after the optimization and adjustment of the national data work system. The theme, ā€œreleasing the value of data elements and developing new productive forces,ā€ reflects the focus on leveraging data for economic growth.

Lin Wenbin, deputy governor of the Fujian Provincial Peopleā€™s Government, highlighted the impressive lineup of over 400 experts and scholars, as well as representatives from leading digital economy companies who will attend the conference. The event will feature a 56,000-square-meter experience area showcasing 362 digital economy projects with a total investment of 186.1 billion yuan.

This summit aims to foster dialogue and collaboration between government agencies, enterprises, and research institutions to drive digital innovation. With a focus on professional authority, service enterprises, and digital experience, the summit will showcase the latest digital development policies and measures.

To engage the public, Guo Ningning, member of the Standing Committee of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee, discussed innovative digital events planned for the summit. These include a digital innovation competition and a digital application scene display belt along Fuzhouā€™s historical and cultural central axis.

The Digital China Construction Summit has been instrumental in driving the countryā€™s digital transformation since its inception in 2017. With the establishment of the National Data Bureau and the implementation of the ā€œData Elements Ɨā€ three-year action plan, China is making significant strides towards becoming a digital power.

Looking ahead, efforts will focus on promoting the development and utilization of data elements, enhancing data infrastructure, and optimizing the national integrated computing network. With these initiatives in place, China is on track to accelerate its digital development and achieve new milestones in the digital economy.
