Alba, the Langhe, Monferrato and Roero have and will have an increasingly central role in the strategies of national and international food and wine tourism.
The work carried out in recent years by the top management of the ATL has allowed a unique positioning among Unescoquality of life and luxury for this corner of Italy.
This is also why the UNWTO, the United Nations body that governs global tourism, and the ministry they chose Alba, Langhe, Monferrato and Roero to host the World Conference on food and wine tourism in September.
Il Gusto, the place of food, wine and travel of the Gedi groupwill be the travel companion of the territory towards the sixth Global Conference on Wine Tourism.
The launch will be on Tuesday 26 April at the Teatro Sociale in Alba when on a day dedicated to wine and its links with the territory projects and guidelines will be illustrated. The title of the day organized in collaboration with Atl Langhe, Roero, Monferrato, the Municipality of Alba and Vinum is “There is more taste in Alba”,
The appointment, scheduled at the Teatro Sociale, will open at 10.30 with a talk conducted by Giuseppe Bottero, head of the Economics of the Press editorial staff, dedicated to young people who are changing the world of wine: producers, journalists, influencers, opinion makers will discuss the new languages to tell whites, reds, rosés and bubbles.
Then Luca Ferrua director of Il Gusto, Enzo Vizzari Director of Le Guide de L’Espresso and Andrea Grignaffini curator of I Vini d’Italia, for the preview of the “Wines” section of the Guide I Restaurants and Wines of Italy 2022. An exclusive preview in view of the official presentation scheduled in Florence on 10 May.
The most interesting wines will be available to the audience for one guided tasting. After the moment Guide the afternoon will look at the territory.
From 5.30 pm instead a series of appointments with great chefs, producersie protagonists of the food and wine world to tell and deepen the Italian and local excellences.
Together with director of La Stampa Massimo Giannini, will be attended by Alberto Cirio President of the Piedmont Region, Carlo Bo Mayor of Alba, Emanuele Bolla, Flavio Borgna, Alberto Chiarlo, Eleonora Cozzella, Enrico Crippa, Pino Cuttaia, Anthony Genovese, Paolo Griffa, Camilla Lunelli, Andrea Malaguti, Dario Silvestri.
The programming of a video dedicated to Luciano De Giacomi. This last project is part of a program of rediscovery of the talents who have made the Alba area great, a journey with videos and stories that the councilorship led by Emanuele Bolla is carrying out. Luciano De Giacomi will be the symbol of making a team and the final intervention will go in this direction.
Massimo Giannini who on April 26 will celebrate two years as director of the Press will tell how the team was born today protagonist in the story of Italy and the world.
