Contents The US accident investigators have presented initial findings on the Boeing incident at the beginning of January. According to this, four bolts were missing near the torn out fuselage part.
At the beginning of January, a piece of the fuselage of a Boeing 737-9 Max was torn out shortly after takeoff. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
The responsible investigative authority has now published the first results in a preliminary report. Apparently four important bolts were missing. However, accident investigators did not name a probable cause for the accident. A longer investigation should provide information about this.
Boeing is responsible for what happened.
After the publication of the preliminary report, Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun also spoke out: “Whatever the final conclusions, Boeing is responsible for what happened. An incident like this should not happen on an aircraft leaving our factory.”
