Dear Mayor Lo Russo,
I ask for an improvement intervention by the new municipal council for the following points:
- Enough with the free and wild dehors that have taken away many blue-striped parking spaces from residents despite having paid an annual subscription to park at the GTT. Many of these are now unused in the cold and some in the evening are rented to adjacent rooms to increase the covers. Please have them dismantled
- Safety in the Valentino park. Dealers even during the day on the hills at the corner of Corso Vittorio. Noises caused by buying beers from young people (so nobody checks the document) from the minimarkets until after midnight. Have them close at 11pm.
Thanks and I wish you all the best.
Mohammadi Paiam
We have already taken a step with the halt to the takeaway of night
The letter from Mr. Paiam allows me, more generally, to take stock of the attention of the municipal administration for the areas of the so-called “nightlife” and the commitment to adopt measures to protect the residents’ right to rest and to identify solutions that meet the citizens’ demand for conviviality and entertainment.
To achieve this goal, an “inter-ministerial table” is already at work (Gianna Pentenero who among her powers has that of Security Policies, Carlotta Salerno Youth Policies, Chiara Foglietta Environmental Policies, and Paolo Chiavarino holder of the delegation to Commerce) that will meet Circumscriptions, merchants and citizens in order to define, together, the measures to be taken to overcome the numerous critical issues.
In the meantime, it was immediately decided to intensify control activities and adopt measures regarding the sale and take-out of alcoholic beverages. In this regard, I remind you that, in recent days, an ordinance has been issued which, in the areas of the so-called nightlife, prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages for take-away starting at 9 pm and that, always from 9 pm and for the whole at night until 7 am, it does not allow you to carry with you and consume drinks contained in glass or metal containers in a public place.
With regard to the dehors issue – bearing in mind that in the particular moment of difficulty following the health emergency, the expansion of the spaces reserved for them has brought benefits for the economy and social life of the area – I would like to reassure the reader that it is our intention to start a discussion with trade associations on the municipal regulation for setting up the dehors currently in force, to verify the possibility of improving it in the interest of both the exhibitors and the residents.
Stefano Lo Russo
