The US antitrust authority has filed a new dossier against Facebook, once again accusing the social media giant of abusing its dominant position and illegal monopoly in the sector.
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), after having been dismissed a first case last June by a federal judge, has decided to continue its battle against the social network giant which, according to the institute led by Lisa Khan, would have exercised a monopoly power on the social media market, leading to acquisition transactions aimed at removing any competition from the market. Facebook bought Instagram in 2012 for $ 1 billion and Whatsapp in 2014 for $ 16 billion.
