Usa: industrial production stable in January, below expectations

US industrial production was flat on a month-on-month basis in January, after declining 1% in December.

The Bloomberg consensus indicated an expected increase of 0.5%, while the previous month’s reading was revised downwards from -0.7%.

Capacity utilization fell to 78.3% from 78.4% in December (revised down from 78.8%).
