Welfare, artificial intelligence and new skills: the topics on the table at the Festival of Sustainable Work

ROMA – The role of artificial intelligence, bargaining and welfare are among the themes at the center of the Sustainable Work Festival, under the slogan “tomorrow’s challenge is played on today’s concrete choices”. The event promoted by HR Linkwith the patronage ofItalian Association of Personnel Managerswill take place on May 14th in Rome, from 11am at the Hotel Quirinale. At the beginning a scenario perspective by Nando Pagnoncellipresident ofIpsos. While the conclusions of the discussion are entrusted to the president of the Chamber’s Labor Commission Walter Rizzetto.

“The Sustainable Work Festival is an extraordinary opportunity, the only one of its kind in Italy, to analyze the revolution underway in the world of work together with the protagonists of the solutions to address it, i.e. companies, unions and institutions”, underlines Francesco Delzio, Councilor for the Italian Labor Development Administration, and professor at LUISS and SNA. Among the speeches also that of the actor and writer Dario Vergassola.

During the day we will talk about the problems but also the prospects of managing artificial intelligence in the workplace, including the risk of discrimination caused by cognitive biases; of the short circuit between managers and Generation Z and of the difficult dialogue between old managers and new workers, where classic hierarchies do not hold up and new organizational models are needed; the issues that arise from the aging of workers, from managing the impacts to the new opportunities of Longennials; of training, and academies for professional development, collective bargaining and the transition from the concept of welfare to that of wellbeing.

Also on the table is the search for an “Italian” model of worker participation in the company, also an objective of job training, which has opened a path that starts from the legislative proposal developed by the CISL. The model is that of widespread ownership and remuneration systems based at all levels on the sharing of company results, as well as on the involvement of workers in the company’s strategic decisions.
