First region allows buses to run around the clock – will 24-hour public transport now become established in Switzerland?

Trains, buses and trams in Switzerland generally run until after midnight. In part of the canton of Graubünden, buses are now running continuously on weekdays. The canton of Zurich could follow suit. Other regions are skeptical.

New York, Paris and Lenzerheide: What these places have in common is not only their popularity with tourists, but also that public transport runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week – or at least almost. For a month now, night buses have also been running during the week in the Lenzerheide-Albula region, a first in German-speaking Switzerland.
