In Rome a 24-year-old man was arrested forthe murder of fourteen-year-old Alexandru Ivan, killed in a subway parking lot. The police, led by the Velletri Prosecutor’s Office, arrested the suspect, originally from Eastern Europe, who according to the investigators is seriously suspected of killing the boy. Investigators believe that the 24-year-old was in the car from which the shots were fired together with three other men: one of these, identified, had participated in the argument in the bar.

In particular, shortly before the murder, there would have been an argument inside a bar on Via Casilina, between the mother’s current partner, 29 years old, of Romanian origin, and a young man originally from Eastern Europe. After leaving the bar, the 29-year-old Romanian had repeated telephone contact with the 24-year-old who was then stopped, who was not inside the bar.
The rendezvous in the parking lot and the shooting The boy’s stepfather then went to the meeting in the metro car park accompanied by Alex and other family members, including two women, but found himself faced with an unexpected scenario: the occupants of a car opened fire against the group in the parking lot, firing several shots, one of which hit the 14-year-old.
Schoolmates: “A friend of ours, he didn’t deserve it” Upon returning to school after the tragedy, Alexandru’s classmates remember him as “a good boy”. A friend of his, from the III G of the Domenico Savio middle school in Finocchio, on the outskirts of Rome, says of him: “He was doing well at school. Something that shouldn’t have happened happened. I didn’t expect something like this to happen. something unthinkable.” And a classmate in tears: “He was my friend, we always talked in class and went to eat kebab together. A good boy, he didn’t deserve it. Today each of us brought something to remember him.”
The principal: “We are speechless” The week at Alexandru’s middle school began in mourning for the boy’s death. “The school community is speechless – says the principal Paola Uncinotti -. We are amazed by what happened. Surely such a young boy should not have been in that place at that time. He was a nice boy, the family followed him. A boy like many others at the institute. Had there been any problems? Which we don’t know. Obviously the school makes many plans for the recovery of the children, given that many come from foreign families, but there have been no problems with the family. Now we will plan a meeting with the psychologist to monitor the reaction of the class”.
