This update has brought a lot of improvements, in terms of security, improved resistance to ransomware attacks and other such network attacks, and repaired memory leaks. The long list of improvements brought by Build 19044.1319 (KB5006738):

● Fixed an issue where you could not access the preset page during the out-of-box experience (OOBE). This problem occurred after the login credentials page for Azure Active Directory appeared, and you pressed the Windows key five times.

● A function has been added to facilitate certain cross-browser data transmission.

● Fixed an issue with Assigned Access kiosks configured with Microsoft Edge as the kiosk application. If the user closes the browser window, these kiosks may sometimes fail to restart Microsoft Edge.

● Fixed the issue that using App-V intermittently caused a black screen when signing in on the credential page.

● Fixed an issue that may prevent the display of subtitles in some video applications and streaming video websites.

● Fixed an issue that prevented Windows 10 virtual private network (VPN) users from connecting to the Windows Server 2019 Routing and Remote Access Service (RRAS) server.

● Fixed an issue where the software-defined network (SDN) virtual machine could not work when you configured the general routing encapsulation (GRE) VPN bandwidth limit.

● Fixed a primary refresh token (PRT) update issue that occurred when VPN users log in using Windows Hello for Business when the VPN connection is offline. The user received an unexpected authentication prompt on the online resource configured for the user login frequency (SIF) in Azure Active Directory-Conditional Access.

● Fixed an issue that caused Windows to enter BitLocker recovery after the service was updated.

● Fixed an issue that may cause Kerberos.dll to stop working in the Local Security Authorization Subsystem Service (LSASS). This happens when LSASS processes user service (S4U) user-to-user (U2U) requests for the same customer user at the same time.

● Fixed a problem in code integrity that may cause memory leaks.

● Enhanced the ability of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint to identify and block ransomware and advanced attacks.

● Fixed a problem in OOBE, which may cause Windows AutoPilot configuration to fail.

● Fixed an issue that prevented users in pseudonym input mode from using the Shift-0 key combination to insert a question mark (?).

● Fixed an issue that sometimes caused the lock screen to appear black if you enable the slideshow.

● Fixed a reliability issue of LogonUI.exe, which affected the presentation of the network status text on the voucher screen.

● Fixed an issue that caused the server information block (SMB) query directory request to fail when the buffer size was large.

● Fixed the memory leak of lsass.exe on the domain controller in the forest root domain. This problem occurs when you have multiple forests and multiple domains in each forest. When the request comes from another domain in the forest and crosses the forest boundary, the SID-name mapping function leaks memory.

● Fixed a problem with the load balancing function of the virtual machine (VM), which ignored the fault domain of a site.
