Fashion, entertainment and automotive are the sectors that have so far been the most penalized on the stock market by the Russia-Ukraine conflict. This is what is revealed by the report “Global industrial multinationals between pandemic and war” conducted by Mediobanca’s Research Department.
In the first three months of 2022, which was impacted by the conflict for about half the period, there was a double-digit decline in the performance of the fashion (-15.5%), Media & Entertainment (-14.5%) Stock Exchange groups. and automotive (-10.2%), followed by WebSoft (-8.3%), the Digital Payment industry (-4.6%), food (-3.4%) and aircraft manufacturers (-2.0%).
The beverage sector, metallurgy, electronics, pharmaceutical companies and large-scale distribution show a certain resilience, with basically stable capitalization ranging between -1.4% and + 1.7%.
On the other hand, the giants of Oil & Gas, whose stock market prices have risen double-digit (+ 20.5%), and the Telcos (+ 5.6%) go against the trend.
