The 7th Digital China Construction Summit, set to take place in Fuzhou, Fujian Province from May 24th to 25th, is already generating positive signals for the country’s digital transformation. At a recent press conference held by the State Council Information Office, officials discussed the preparations for the summit and the progress made in the construction of Digital China.

Liu Liehong, director of the National Data Administration, highlighted that this summit comes at a crucial time, following the optimization and adjustment of the national data work system. The theme of the summit, “releasing the value of data elements and developing new productive forces,” reflects the ongoing efforts to harness the power of data in driving economic growth.

With more than 400 experts, scholars, and industry representatives expected to attend, the summit is poised to showcase the latest advancements in digital technology. Projects totaling 186.1 billion yuan in investment, spanning areas like artificial intelligence and hard-core technology, are set to be signed during the event.

The summit will focus on professional authority, enterprise service, digital experience, and dialogue and exchanges. Participants can expect the release of new digital development policies, measures, and research reports by national ministries and authoritative institutions. The event will also feature 12 innovation tracks organized by enterprises and research institutions, offering a platform for collaboration and knowledge sharing.

To make the summit more engaging for the public, innovative digital events and experiences are being planned. Guo Ningning, Secretary of the Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee, emphasized the importance of creating immersive digital cultural tourism experiences. From digital innovation competitions to cultural heritage tours enhanced by digital technology, the summit aims to showcase the practical applications of digital advancements in various sectors.
