ROMA – Where to install the charging stations? What kind of jobs do you have to tackle? How long does it take? These are just some of the questions that professionals, or Charging Point Operators, have to face to design a new charging network. Questions as simple as they are essential to which E-Distribuzione, the Enel Group company that manages medium and low voltage electricity grids, has answered by launching a new solution: based on the indicated power and the coordinates selected within a geographical map , a simulator capable of showing everything needed to connect a low voltage charging infrastructure to the grid. Connecting to the grid is one of the fundamental steps for operators, as it allows you to activate the service and make it available to those who decide to use an electric vehicle.

The platform was developed together with the main charging service players and Motus-e, the first association in Italy set up by industrial operators to accelerate the change towards electric mobility.

“E-Distribuzione is committed to fostering the energy transition through innovations, solutions and technologies ranging from smart grids and meters to advanced customer support systems”, explains Vincenzo Ranieri, CEO of E-Distribuzione. “With the new electric mobility simulator we want to meet the needs of operators in the sector, who can better orient their choices, and the environment, helping to accelerate the installation of charging infrastructures for electric vehicles, necessary for rapid diffusion. of zero-emission mobility throughout the country “.
