A teacher reported that she was threatened with death by a man who identified himself as “libertarian”

A teacher and councilor from a town in Sierras Chicas reported that she was threatened with death, while traveling on an interurban bus this Monday, by a man who identified himself as a “libertarian liberal.”

“I know who you are, I know where you work, lefty, feminazi, I’m going to burn you, I’m going to kill you,” were some of the insults that the man allegedly inflicted on the woman in front of dozens of passengers who were traveling at that time.

The woman, whom we will identify as CP to protect her identity, was traveling with her daughter, a minor, on a bus from the Fonobus company in the Sierras Chicas corridor, heading towards Córdoba.

According to CP’s story, everything happened around 12 noon, when the man got into the unit near Salsipuestas. When CP got up from her seat to give it to someone else, the man allegedly pushed her and the assault began.

In dialogue with La Voz, CP, still shocked by the event, said: “He told me ‘You lefty son of a bitch…, I know perfectly well who you are, I am a liberal libertarian with great honor, to the core. I know where you work, I’m going to burn you, I’m going to fuck you up and kill you.’ “This is how she shouted out loud in the middle of the bus.”

“I was very bad. The only thing I thought about was my daughter and the children who were present on the bus. I asked the driver for help and the other passengers quickly helped me, they took my daughter to the beginning of the bus,” she added.

The woman filed the complaint and will expand this afternoon to provide more information to the investigation.

CP has been working as a teacher for 23 years. At school she is on a team implementing the Comprehensive Sexual Education (ESI) law and providing support in bullying situations. His activity is also public because he is a councilor in a town in Sierras Chicas, something that was mentioned by the man who threatened him. The party to which the councilor belongs is not related to La Libertad Avanza.

The fact was disseminated by the Colón department of the Union of Educators of the Province of Córdoba (UEPC) and quickly circulated among teaching circles and social and feminist organizations.

Crisis and violence

“I think all this occurs in a context of increasing violence. “Anyone feels empowered to say anything,” the woman concluded and thanked the support received.

The UEPC statement repudiated the fact, which they described as “unacceptable from every point of view, but even more so because the aggressor also identified himself as a teacher, attacking the colleague for her ideology and her work.”

“At a time of crisis and violence in our society, the defense of democratic values is crucial (…) We demand that the investigation in the corresponding area be carried out quickly. “Acts of these characteristics constitute an enormous setback in our progress towards the consolidation of democracy,” they indicated in the statement.
