Actor Cuba Gooding Jr. Named Defendant in Civil Lawsuit Against Sean “Diddy” Combs

In a recent development, actor Cuba Gooding Jr. has been named as a defendant in a civil lawsuit filed against Sean “Diddy” Combs. Gooding Jr. was initially included in the legal filing but not as a defendant. The lawsuit was filed in February 2024, with Rodney Jones claiming that Combs suggested he “meet” Gooding Jr.

According to the amended complaint, Jones alleges that Gooding Jr. touched, groped, and fondled his legs, upper inner thighs near the groin, lower back near the buttocks, and shoulders while they were on Combs’ yacht. The lawsuit further states that Jones’s life has been negatively impacted since he produced Combs’ album in August 2022. The incident with Gooding occurred on a yacht chartered by Combs in the U.S. Virgin Islands in January 2023.

Jones, who is Combs’ former producer and cameraman, originally filed his lawsuit in federal court in New York in February. He claims to have worked with Combs between 2022 and 2023, collaborating on his most recent album, “Love.” Among other allegations, Jones accuses Combs of failing to compensate him for his work as a music producer, forcing him to hire and interact with sex workers, threatening him, and serving alcoholic beverages laced with drugs to guests at his house parties.

This news comes in the wake of Gooding Jr.’s guilty plea in April to a misdemeanor charge of forcibly touching a woman at a New York City nightclub in 2018. A lawyer for Cuba Gooding Jr. has not responded to CNN’s request for comment on the latest lawsuit.
