The comedian is baptized, less than a year after he was repeatedly accused of sexual abuse. For example, Brand was accused by four women of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse, which took place during the heyday of his career, between 2006 and 2013. The allegations were made in September 2023 in an extensive investigation by The Sunday Times newspaper, and also made part of a documentary in the Channel 4 program Dispatches. However, the Briton has always denied those accusations.
